FRANKFURT EXCELLENT | MADE IN GERMANY

The BASIC

One container for waste, one for cut produce:
The BASIC is the "Frankfurter Brett" in its purest form.

RECOMMENDED HOUSEHOLD SIZE:
1-4 PEOPLE

MAXIMUM EQUIPMENT:
2 CONTAINERS

COMPATIBLE CONTAINER SIZES:
S & M

WORK SURFACE:
450 x 300 x 40 mm (board only)
450 x 450 x 40 mm (including containers)
470 x 450 x 40 mm (special edition)

BIG ON A SMALL SCALE

Reduced to the absolute essentials, you shouldn't be fooled by the size of the BASIC. The two Containers attached at the front nearly double the available workspace and organize it efficiently – the BASIC feels significantly larger in everyday use than comparable or even bigger boards, as waste and cuttings disappear immediately from the workspace, creating additional room for working and storing directly on the cutting board itself.

EVERYDAY KITCHEN & MORE

Weighing just around 4kg in total, it is easy to carry and can be used almost anywhere in the home – for example, at the living room table with the kids or in the garden while grilling.

The BASIC is the ideal cutting board for everyday cooking for 1-3 people, and even larger recipes for 4-8 people can be easily prepared with it. However, if you regularly cook for more than 4 people, you might also enjoy a MONO or the BASIC L – extra space is always an advantage.

CONSTRUCTION & DETAILS

CITRUS & FENNEL

MEATBALL & TOMATO

FUNCTION & DETAILS

DURABLE & FLEXIBLE

The BASIC comes with two M handles on the front side, into which Containers of sizes S and M can be hung.

OVERFLOW PROTECTION

The all-around milled juice groove keeps the surrounding area clean and is open towards the front in the direction of disposal, allowing cuttings and waste to be easily discarded while small pieces do not get stuck in the groove’s recess.

EASY TO CARE FOR

The brackets are not permanently built into the board but can be easily pulled out—whether for better cleaning or to perfectly adjust the board and container use to your own needs.

STURDY

On the underside, there are recessed silicone rings for a secure grip while working.

THE BASIC IN EVERYDAY LIFE

"PURE WELLNESS."

"I have had a Frankfurter Brett for 2.5 years. An absolute dream of mine.

This month, I used the Workshop-Service for the first time and treated the board to a wellness treatment.

You only realize how much you love and need something when you no longer have it:
Every day I wondered how people can cut on conventional boards and where they put their waste and scraps.

I use the Basic with oak end grain and stainless steel containers.
I like how it looks and how it beautifies my kitchen.

For fish, garlic, and fruit, I use the Easy Pads mat, although I prefer to cut on wood and sometimes just place a thin wooden board on my Frankfurter Brett.

The best part is simply that the order and appearance make me feel a bit like a professional chef.

Pure wellness.

P.S.: The Workshop-Service is absolutely recommended. The board came back in top condition with new rubber feet. I am completely satisfied with the result; the surface is very well worked and sealed."

"THE BOARD FOR THE CHAOTIC WOMAN."

"I love food.
I love cooking.
But I rarely have much time for elaborate things.

When I do take the time now and then, all the Frankfurt equipment comes into play: the board, many Containers, Easy Pads.

For everyday cooking, mostly one-pot recipes from a meal kit, the board, 2 Containers, and sometimes the small Easy Pad are enough.

The Frankfurt block with all the knives is always there anyway.

The board helps me get a handle on the kitchen chaos I used to create regularly.

The workflows have become simple, no more waste lying around, and nothing falls on the way to the stove.

One Container is enough: first for the onions, then for the vegetables, and finally the leftovers go in there and into the fridge.

I can, want to, and no longer have to do without the board…

"TURNS MY BALCONY INTO A COOKING OASIS."

"My BASIC now helps me almost daily in the kitchen, but not only there.

Thanks to its practical size, I can also use it well on the balcony in summer and quickly set up a small kitchen island outdoors with the right accessories.

Especially when I cook for friends or prepare several meals for the week at once, I don’t want to and won’t miss the combination of board and containers anymore!

Anyone who loves cooking will love this board!"

"HOW DID I LIVE BEFORE?"

Freshly moved from Hamburg to Frankfurt, I fell in love. First with a man and then with the Frankfurter Brett. And the Containers!

I use the Containers to store chopped ingredients until they go into the pan.

Sometimes I prepare my ingredients in the morning so that in the evening I just have to finish cooking everything.

The board sits in a corner for us, so because of its size, two people can easily work on it together.
When one cooks, the other usually just stands awkwardly in the kitchen.
This is cleverly avoided and it’s simply fun.

What I love most about the Console is that you can just place your phone on it to watch Netflix or look up recipes.

Also, it gives me an overview of my ingredients and the kitchen doesn’t look completely chaotic after cooking.

For someone like me, this is just perfect because I get overwhelmed by too much chaos. My inner Monk finds peace this way.

I can truly recommend the board from the bottom of my heart to anyone who loves to cook. I’ve had it for almost 2 years and don’t even know how I lived before.

Try it out for yourself!

"COMPLETELY HAPPY."

"I really enjoy cooking, but I have a relatively small workspace that quickly became so cluttered with large recipes that I didn’t know where to put everything.

I chop my vegetables and everything else and immediately have the scraps in the catch container and the vegetables in the other Containers.
I usually sort the ingredients by cooking time, so I just have to empty Container after Container into the pot.
Especially with dishes where there’s little time between steps, everything is cleanly prepared and within reach.

I had often heard about mise en place but never really managed to implement it properly, which I can finally do with the Frankfurter Brett.

This makes cooking less hectic, I can enjoy it much more, and even have a glass of red wine in between without stress.

After cooking, everything is quickly washed, a quick wipe over the board, some board care, and done.

I feel like my kitchen is much tidier not only during cooking but also afterward.

I am completely happy 😅"
